Welcome to Fresh Air, the biennial sculpture exhibition that provides a unique opportunity to see a creative mixture of traditionally modern and cutting-edge contemporary work in a stunning outdoor setting.

Fresh Air 2011 was a great success and showed outdoor sculpture by more than 100 artists who work in a variety of materials such as bronze, resin, metal, ceramics, glass, stone, wood, willow and cloth. The exhibition took place in the garden and grounds of Quenington Old Rectory, the beautiful Cotswold home of Lucy and David Abel Smith. Its aim was to promote and sell the work of local, national and international artists, and to provide a forum for education in the visual arts. Young, emerging sculptors have an opportunity to exhibit alongside more established artists and bursaries are awarded to talented artists as development opportunities.

Fresh Air 2011 has been our most successful exhibition yet with 12,700 visitors – an increase of 3,700 since the last show. The education programme was particularly well subscribed with around 900 children, GCSE, AS Level and disabled students benefiting from some dynamic teaching days and workshops. We have also had some wonderfully positive feedback from visitors and contributors alike, many saying it has been the best show they can remember.
